Knowing my love for unique treats, my mother-in-law put a box of these in my xmas goody bag. She told me they were seasonal so I was at TJ's within a week to stock up on these delicious cookies. Ten boxes seemed totally reasonable to hold me over until next winter...

I so wait for these every year. I think they are like . a box and it's a pound of yummy short bread with just the best dark chocolate those little nonpareils sprinkled over the top. SO delicious. I'm kind of glad they are only around at the holidays. I think year round could be dangerous....

It's a good thing that these cookies are seasonal. Otherwise, we would eat far too many year-round! They are a wonderful, robust shortbread covered in semisweet dark chocolate and topped with little white sprinkles, making them look like star-shaped nonpareils. They are not too sweet and very intensely chocolatey. They look beautiful when simply arranged on a plate and are very good with tea.

Holiday favorites in our house! These cookies have a great texture and are covered with a thin layer of dark chocolate and topped off with a tiny touch of white sprinkles. I'm a huge fan of dark chocolate and the chocolate is a smooth, rich contrast against the simple cookie. The size is small - just a bite or two, and as mentioned, they are a great way to decorate desserts.
